Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations for services provided by Techmine Inc.

1. Project Cancellation

Clients may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice. Cancellation terms vary based on the project stage:

  • Before work begins: Full refund of any deposits paid, minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • During discovery/planning phase: Refund of deposit minus charges for work completed at our standard hourly rate.
  • During development phase: No refund on work completed. Payment is due for all milestones completed and any work-in-progress at our standard hourly rate.
  • After delivery: No refunds are available for completed and delivered projects.

2. Milestone-Based Projects

For projects structured with milestone payments, each milestone payment is non-refundable once the milestone deliverables have been approved or the review period has elapsed without response from the client.

3. Retainer and Subscription Services

For retainer-based services (hosting, maintenance, support):

  • Monthly retainers may be cancelled with 30 days written notice.
  • Unused hours in the current billing period are non-refundable.
  • Annual subscriptions may be cancelled with a prorated refund for unused months, minus a 15% early termination fee.

4. Revision and Rework

Each project includes a specified number of revision rounds as outlined in the project agreement. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope will be billed at our standard rates. Revision requests must be submitted in writing within the agreed review period.

5. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will work with you to address concerns and find a resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, disputes will be handled through mediation before any legal proceedings.

6. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or infrastructure failures. In such cases, timelines will be adjusted accordingly.
